Bus Routes (updated 24/02/12)
Unlimited Paenga Tawhiti School Bus Services for 2012
These are the changes to the school bus services for Unlimited Paenga Tawhiti students attending the Halswell Residential College campus.
The new central city interchange has been operational for all routes into Christchurch since the start of Term 4 2011. With effect from the first day of Term 1 2012 the Ministry’s contracted services will be withdrawn to operate from/to the temporary interchange as follows:
- In the morning all routes will start at the bus stop on the south side of Tuam St, opposite the Central Station exit at 8.10am, 8.20am, 8.30am & 8.40am and run direct to UPT school site at Halswell Residential College on Aidanfield Drive. There are NO stops on route.
- In the afternoon all routes will depart UPT school site at Halswell Residential College on Aidanfield Drive shortly after 3.05pm, 3.10pm, 3.15pm & 3.20pm and run direct to the Central Station, arriving at approximately 3.25pm, 3.30pm, 3.35pm & 3.40pm respectively. The afternoon drop off point will be at the bus stop on the northern side of Tuam St (platform F) beside the Central Station exit.
Students are to revert to traveling to Central Station using previous, pre-February 2011, public transport services. For that portion of travel Standard Metrocard and cash fares will apply.
The school services are provided by Go Bus Limited and will be clearly labelled UNLIMITED.
NOTE: There will be no UPT school service to and from the University of Canterbury campus. All travel to and from this site will be via the normal urban bus routes where standard Metrocard and cash fares will apply.
