Trade Up For Free - Friday 16th December
Two (dual-enrolled) UPT/CTC students were honored at Canterbury Tertiary College's Prizegiving recently. Jamie Lawson won the academic award for the Automotive Engineering course - a very popular course at CTC. Domanic Lapslie-Rogerson won the class vote award for Electrical Engineering. They gained certificates and gifts.
Both students have completed the first year of two year part-time courses which are free courses. Domanic and Jamie will return to CTC to complete their National Trade Certificates in 2012, as will other 2011 UPT students. Both students are on track for great careers in trades.
CTC is a real success story. It is free trade training and next year involves an alliance between a number of tertiary providers. It is supported by the MoE and will grow from approximately 150 students in 2011 to about 550 - with more trade and timetable options and sites - in 2012.
Does this opportunity interest you? If so, see:
www.ctc.ac.nz for more information, or contact Kirsty soon to discuss this option. Don't miss out!

The afternoon drop off point will be at the bus stop on the northern side of Tuam St (platform F) beside the Central Station exit.

The school services are provided by Go Bus Limited and will be clearly labelled
